Interested in joining the group?

The Sode Computational Chemistry Group welcomes undergraduate and M.S. students who are interested in computational chemistry, physical chemistry, molecular modeling, electronic structure theory, molecular crystals, chemical bonding, or data analysis.

Students do not need to have prior research experience to get started. New students can learn skills such as molecular visualization, quantum chemistry calculations, Python-based data analysis, literature reading, and scientific communication.

Students interested in research opportunities are encouraged to contact Dr. Sode with a brief message introducing themselves and describing their interests.

Please include:

  • Your name
  • Your major and year
  • Any chemistry, math, physics, computer science, or research experience
  • Why you are interested in computational chemistry or the group’s research
